It may well be that you've already heard, possibly even attended the online memorial last month.

Tote "graduated" on May 17 (Guam time), 2012. It looks like he had heart failure at the Kloppenburgs' farm, where he was living amid loving people, wonderful dogs, and a skinny cat named Gil.

He posted on FB a couple of years ago that when it was his time to go, he didn't want people grieving for him. He wanted his friends to "ditch his mortal molecules" in the ocean, then head back to the island for a party. And that's pretty much what happened.

Cindy Hanson (besides organizing the party at Jeff's) got together with GoToMeeting and arranged an online memorial for folks who couldn't be there. This was on May 27.

It may well be that Tote has dropped in on you at LEAST once since his "graduation". He showed up here the day he died, though only Faji saw him. I was busy on the puter, but knew from the way Faj was following something in the living room (and the absence of flying insects to explain it) that it was a someone he was watching. The next day I got a phone call with the news.

I just wanted to let you know (if you hadn't heard), and to say that Joe loves you. If he hasn't visited you already (which I really doubt!), he most certainly will. That's how he always was, and he hasn't changed much, from what we can tell.

Blessed Be, Lass.

Femfelis and Faji
(And if you want, mailto:femfelis@gmail.com )easeignFemfelishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05695037232004697358noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6991769037518844637.post-58825829651120583392010-02-27T12:17:12.827-08:002010-02-27T12:17:12.827-08:00Hullo, Witch Azle!

I did do a painting of one of my own cats, "Boxed Torty," which you can find on my blog, paintslinger.blogspot.com

I've been a little snowed under by portraits recently, but I think your photo is sublime. It's definitely in my list of things to paint. I hope I live long enough to paint all the things on my list!

Thank you for volunteering to Bob-sit. Even from a few hundred miles away, I don't doubt you can do a great job of it!

Warmly,
Nancy ParkNancy Parkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16511568391190813598noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6991769037518844637.post-58693040393173710392008-06-29T10:21:00.000-07:002008-06-29T10:21:00.000-07:00Tricia, I responded to your comment, but it never ...Tricia, I responded to your comment, but it never showed up. Check this out, though: http://www.extremelysmart.com/insight/

I think you two have several things in common, not least passion about religion.

Enjoy!

AngieWitch Azlehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03125685113890416045noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6991769037518844637.post-53277135762921348752008-06-24T20:03:00.000-07:002008-06-24T20:03:00.000-07:00I personally consider using "Christian" in the tit...I personally consider using "Christian" in the title of a company to be the equivalent of taking the name of the Lord in vain.

However, I have to diagree with part of your blog. I know there are "Christians" who think they are obligated to "save" followers of other religions, but they basically haven't read their Bible very well. Matthew 25: 31-46 --When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
32: And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
33: And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
34: Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
35: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
36: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
37: Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
38: When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
39: Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
40: And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
41: Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
42: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:
43: I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.
44: Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?
45: Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.
46: And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

Do you see anything in there about converting anyone?

Neither do I.

Jesus doesn't say anything about this being limited to His followers. I think the "all nations" part is pretty clear.

I've known a lot of people who did the above things, but they aren't limited to "Christians."

There is another part about people who say they come from Christ, but know him not.

I embrace the notion that anyone who does these things is going my way, how ever they style themselves.Triciahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01594485925128113102noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6991769037518844637.post-84301264125475424282007-08-01T08:09:00.000-07:002007-08-01T08:09:00.000-07:00Oh my stars!
